Cowboys Hopeful That Amari Cooper Will Be Ready
3 years agoDallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones remains hopeful that wide receiver Amari Cooper (ribs) will be ready to play on Monday night against the division-rival Philadelphia Eagles in Week 3. "I don't know today. I'm hopeful those ribs can get comfortable enough to play (Monday night)," Jones said. Cooper suffered bruised ribs in the Week 2 win over the Los Angeles Chargers, and he managed just three catches for 24 yards despite playing in all but two of the offensive snaps. The 27-year-old's status for Monday night could come down to pain tolerance, and the fact that the game isn't until Monday will make Cooper much riskier for fantasy managers this week. CeeDee Lamb would be in line for a very heavy workload if Cooper sits out, while Cedrick Wilson would become the No. 2 wideout with Michael Gallup on Injured Reserve.
