7 months agoDallas Cowboys rookie running back Tony Pollard is capable of "carrying the load" according to Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones. Pollard was drafted in the fourth round and has been working as the lead back in practices while starter Ezekiel Elliott holds out for a new contract. Pollard only played the first series in Saturday's preseason game, much like a player expected to have a large role in Week 1 would. Elliott's holdout isn't expected to last into the regular season as of now, but it does remain a possibility. If that's the case, Pollard could be thrust into a workhorse role that would certainly have significant fantasy implications.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
