Courtland Sutton, Melvin Gordon III Expected To Play Saturday
3 years agoDenver Broncos head coach Vic Fangio expects wide receiver Courtland Sutton (knee) and running back Melvin Gordon III (groin) to play in the final preseason game this Saturday against the Los Angeles Rams. Linebacker Von Miller is also expected to be active. An ACL tear limited Sutton to just one game last year, so he's unlikely to play much against L.A. Reports from training camp have been positive for Sutton, who appears to be in pre-injury form. He should be the favorite to lead the team in targets, regardless of who the quarterback is, and he could return plenty of value at his current 32.5 ADP among wideouts. Gordon returned to practice last week but has sat out of both preseason contests as a precaution. The 28-year-old will likely be the team's starter in Week 1 against the New York Giants, but he'll be used in tandem with rookie Javonte Williams, limiting his overall ceiling. Gordon is best utilized as a high-end RB3/flex, but Williams is the more attractive upside pick, especially since most people expect him to eventually take over this backfield in 2021.
