Cordarrelle Patterson Unlikely To Play Thursday
3 years agoNFL Network's Ian Rapoport said on the Gresh & Keefe show on WEEI that Atlanta Falcons running back Cordarrelle Patterson (ankle) is fighting "an uphill battle" to play on Thursday night against the New England Patriots. Patterson was very limited in walkthrough practices on the short week after getting injured in Week 10 against the Dallas Cowboys, and he's likely to be inactive to kick off Week 11 action. It's troubling news for a weak Falcons offense that has already been without top wideout Calvin Ridley (personal). Atlanta's wideouts and rookie tight end Kyle Pitts should see more targets, but the Falcons receivers have been completely hit or miss for fantasy managers ever since Ridley stepped away from the team. New England also plays a lot of man defense, which the Falcons have really struggled with. Mike Davis and Wayne Gallman should divide up the backfield touches, but neither will be very attractive flex options.
