Corbin Burnes Exits Early Due to Arm Injury
Corbin Burnes (arm) was forced to make an early exit from Sunday's start against the Washington Nationals. Oh no, Burnes showed signs of decreased velocity before being taken out during the fifth inning. The expectation is that Burnes will undergo further testing to determine the severity of the injury. It's never good to see a pitcher leave a contest with an arm issue, but fantasy managers shouldn't jump to conclusions. This could end up only being a minor issue, so for now Burnes should be considered day-to-day. Before exiting, Burnes tossed 4 ⅔ innings, allowing one earned run on four hits while striking out six batters. Fantasy managers will need to stay tuned for more updates on Burnes.
