Coby Mayo Avoids Serious Injury on Tuesday
Coby Mayo avoided a serious injury during the second half of their doubleheader against the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday evening. While covering first base, Mayo stretched to make a catch and twisted his leg. However, he was able to remain in the game and did not show any signs that this injury limited him later in the game. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status in case the Orioles opt to give him time off later in the week. The former top prospect has enjoyed a productive week at the plate, posting a .350/.500/.750 slash line with two doubles and two home runs over his last eight games. The 23-year-old could have an even larger role in the back half of the season if the Orioles were to trade corner infielders like Ryan O'Hearn and Ramon Urias at the deadline.
