Clyde Edwards-Helaire To Rest Another Week?
3 years agoKansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said "there's a chance we do that" when asked if the team could give running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire (knee) an extra week of recovery with the bye week approaching in Week 12. The Chiefs want to see how he does in practice this week before activating him from Injured Reserve. Darrel Williams' big performance in the win over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 10 is giving the Chiefs the luxury of being patient on Edwards-Helaire, who has been out since Week 5. With the 22-year-old out, Williams has maintained RB2 upside on a weekly basis, with Derrick Gore and Jerick McKinnon pitching in for change-of-pace work behind him. But once CEH returns as KC's primary backfield option, Williams will lose most of his fantasy value.
