2 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey would make his 49ers debut against the Kansas City Chiefs in his new home stadium if he plays in Week 7. The late Thursday night trade between the Panthers and 49ers lands the No. 4 fantasy RB in a much more productive offense. It looks like an upgrade for the 26-year-old. The 49ers run the ball on 47.2% of their plays versus 38.2% for the Panthers. McCaffrey has gotten over 20% of the targets in the Panthers' passing game, but the 49ers have more productive receivers, so McCaffrey might see some drop-off in his receiving work. But he could make up for it with increased efficiency and more touchdowns. McCaffrey should remain an RB1 going forward, but it's hard to predict how much involvement he will have in Week 7, given that he joined the team two days before Sunday's game.--Mitchell Blatt - RotoBaller
