3 years agoThe Boston Red Sox are activating infielder Christian Arroyo (knee) from the 10-day injured list on Monday and are optioning infielder Michael Chavis to Triple-A Worcester in a corresponding move. Arroyo, who was hitting .264/.324/.432 with four home runs and 19 RBI in 125 at-bats before his injury, figures to start frequently at second base for Boston now that he is back. That will make Arroyo attractive in AL-only leagues and as middle infield depth in deeper mixed leagues. Chavis really struggled in his 58 at-bats for the BoSox, going 12-for-58 (.207) with a home run, four RBI and 22 strikeouts to just one walk. He'll go down to the minors to work on things, but there's a good chance we'll see Chavis back with Boston in the second half.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
