Chris Thompson, Vernon Davis Ruled Out For Thursday
5 years agoWashington Redskins running back Chris Thompson (toe) and tight end Vernon Davis (concussion) have both been ruled out for Thursday night's game against the Vikings. Davis was limited in practice all week, but Thompson didn't practice at all and isn't a lock to return in Week 9. Davis appears to be making progress, but fantasy owners can't rely on him as anything more than a touchdown-dependent TE2 when he's on the field in one of the worst offenses in football. Jeremy Sprinkle will continue to be the team's top pass-catching tight end with Davis out, but he's a desperation option at the tight end position. Jordan Reed (concussion) has yet to play this year and his career is in jeopardy.
