The Kansas City Chiefs and defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo reached an agreement on an undisclosed contract extension on Wednesday. It's much-deserved, as Spagnuolo led the Chiefs to the second-best scoring defense in the regular season in 2023 on their way to their eighth straight AFC West championship while allowing an average of 17.3 points per game. They were even better in the playoffs on the way to their third Super Bowl championship in the last five years, holding four of the six highest-scoring teams in the NFL during the regular season to an average of less than 16 points per game. The Chiefs became the first team to win back-to-back Super Bowls in 20 years. The Chiefs had on average the youngest defensive team in the league at 25.4 years old, too.--Keith HernandezRead More News
