The Kansas City Chiefs released linebacker Anthony Hitchens on Tuesday. Hitchens finished the 2021 regular season with 80 tackles (41 solo), four tackles for loss, one interception and two passes defensed in 15 games in his fourth season in Kansas City. In his four seasons with the Chiefs, the 29-year-old recorded 217 solo tackles, 17 tackles for loss, 12 QB hits, one interception, two forced fumbles and two sacks in 59 games. With the move, the Chiefs will save around $8.4 million against the 2022 salary cap.
