Kansas City Chiefs general manager Brett Veach is focused on signing defensive tackle Chris Jones to a new deal. "That's on the list of things to do," commented Veach while speaking to the media after the NFL Draft. "Those things usually take a little bit of time here, so we have a little bit of a runway now until the start of training camp to hopefully get something done." Jones is coming off a monster 2022-23 campaign, ending the regular season with 44 total tackles, 15.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles, meaning he will likely become one of the highest-paid players in the league at the position. Nevertheless, regardless of what happens with contract negotiations, the 28-year-old should remain a top IDP option.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerRead More News
