UFC featherweight Alex Caceres defeated the up-and-coming Chase Hooper by unanimous decision during the UFC prelims. Caceres outpaced the 20-year-old in the vertical game, landing nearly double the number of strikes while also surpassing him in significant strikes. Hooper showed vulnerability standing, and while he displayed a solid chin, he wasn't able to utilize his vast knowledge in the submission game to offset the onslaught of blows. Caceres has now won his last two outings, with his previous victory before Saturday night occurring nearly a year ago when he dispatched Steven Peterson. While Hooper was the heavy favorite heading into this one, as reflected by his DFS price tag, he will need to improve with his hands if he hopes to progress in the sport.
