Chase Edmonds Returns From IR, Sees Eight Touches
2 years agoDenver Broncos running back Chase Edmonds (ankle) was activated from Injured Reserve and made his return on Christmas Day in the 51-14 blowout loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. In his first game action since Week 11, Edmonds carried the ball six times for 31 yards and caught both of his targets for 22 yards. He had only two fewer carries than backfield leader Latavius Murray and gained three fewer yards as well. Marlon Mack had four carries for 22 yards. Edmonds should serve as the team's No. 2 back behind Murray for the final two regular season games, but he won't be a realistic starting option for fantasy managers in the worst offense in football. Edmonds has only 52 carries for 166 yards (3.2 yards per carry) and two touchdowns in 11 games with the Broncos and Miami Dolphins in 2022, adding 13 receptions for 118 yards and another score.
