Charvarius Ward Signs His Tender
4 years agoKansas City Chiefs restricted free-agent cornerback Charvarius Ward signed his second-round tender on Wednesday, according to his agent, Kevin Conner. Ward's second-round tender is worth $3.384 million in 2021. He entered the league in 2018 with the Dallas Cowboys after going undrafted. Kansas City acquired Ward in a trade before the regular season, and he started two games in 2018 before becoming a mainstay with the Chiefs first-team defense the last two seasons. The 25-year-old has 94 solo tackles, two interceptions, 16 passes defensed, one forced fumble and one sack in 30 games (29 starts) over the last two years for KC. Ward projects to start at the left cornerback position for the Chiefs in 2021.
