Charvarius Ward Placed On COVID-19 List
3 years agoThe Kansas City Chiefs placed cornerback Charvarius Ward on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Monday. Ward had a season-high 10 tackles in last Thursday's overtime win over the division-rival Los Angeles Chargers, so KC's secondary will be missing a key member if Ward doesn't get cleared in time for a Week 16 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 16. Defensive tackle Chris Jones and linebacker Willie Gay Jr. remain on the COVID list for the Chiefs defense, but they're hoping they'll both test negative before Sunday. Ward has collected 51 tackles (38 solo), one interception and eight passes defensed in 10 games played (nine starts) for the Chiefs in 2021. With three defensive touchdowns and 25 total turnovers in 14 games this year, KC's defense ranks fifth overall in fantasy and will be in play for fantasy managers against Pittsburgh this week.
