Charlie Blackmon Has Terrible Defensive Night
6 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackmon had a great night at the plate on Sunday, but in the field was a different story. Blackmon played a big role in the offense by doubling, tripling, and walking twice in his five plate appearances, but he played a bigger role in the defense by allowing two fielding errors that were simply atrocious. The most egregious of the errors was a missed catch on a lazy fly ball in the fourth inning that allowed a run to score and basically put the game out of reach. Blackmon's one of the few Rockies who had a good offensive series against the Dodgers, going 5-for-11 over the three-game set, and he should iron out his defensive issues soon enough.
