The Los Angeles Chargers officially released offensive guard Trai Turner on Friday, according to a source. It was reported last week that the Chargers were trying to trade Turner, but apparently they didn't find any takers and have decided to outright release him. The 27-year-old was due to make $11.5 million this season. Turner has been a Pro Bowl selection five times in his career, but he was lackluster in his nine starts in LA after being traded from the Panthers. He was involved in a trade in 2020 that involved offensive tackle Russell Okung, but Turner failed to live up to expectations and was not the immediate upgrade at the right guard spot that the Bolts thought he'd be. The Bolts also released linebacker Malik Jefferson on Friday.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
