Cedric Mullins Should Resume Baseball Activities Soon
Baltimore Orioles outfielder Cedric Mullins (hamstring) is running and should resume baseball activities soon, according to interim manager Tony Mansolino. Mullins landed on the 10-day injured list last Friday with a right-hamstring strain but could return relatively quickly, although it may not come when he's first eligible this Sunday. The 30-year-old left-handed-hitting outfielder really struggled in the month of May, going 15-for-84 (.179) with four home runs, four doubles, 11 RBI, three steals, eight runs scored, three walks and 27 strikeouts in 88 plate appearances. Mullins should at least be involved in a platoon in center field when he comes off the injured list, but with Baltimore's outfield getting healthier, the former 13th-rounder might have to swing the bat better to be in the lineup on a regular basis. He has 10 homers and eight steals through 181 at-bats in 2025.
