Cedric Mullins Remains Absent For Orioles
Cedric Mullins (quadriceps) will miss another game on Tuesday against the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers. Aaron Hicks will make another start in center field and bat sixth for the O's against Dodgers right-hander Michael Grove. Mullins will be missing his third straight game since injuring his right quadriceps muscle on Saturday against the Miami Marlins. The 28-year-old's injury isn't believed to be very serious, so he's hoping to return to the lineup at some point this week. When Mullins does return, he'll be coming back to a .259/.347/.454 slash line with an .801 OPS, nine home runs, 47 RBI, 14 stolen bases and 33 runs in 251 at-bats as Baltimore's starting center fielder.

Cedric Mullins Sitting With Illness
Cedric Mullins (illness) is out of the team's lineup for their series finale against the Detroit Tigers on Sunday. The 30-year-old has reportedly been battling an illness over the last few days, though he did play all 18 innings across the team's doubleheader on Saturday, so it seems like just some extra rest for him. Mullins has been excellent this season, slashing .279/.421/.547 with six long balls, five doubles, and five steals. Perhaps even more impressive, he's raised his walk rate to a robust 17.1%. If it stands, that'd be the highest figure of his career by far. Dylan Carlson is covering center field, batting sixth for the O's in their series finale with the Tigers.

Cedric Mullins Goes Yard In Orioles' Victory
Cedric Mullins smashes his sixth home run of the season on Saturday afternoon in the Orioles' 9-5 win over the Reds. Mullins greeted Reds' starting pitcher Hunter Greene by smashing a 2-2 fastball over the right-center field wall to tie the game after the Reds got a run in the top of the first. The Orioles added another run in the first on a Gunnar Henderson home run and didn't look back on their way to a 9-5 win in a high-scoring game at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Mullins is off to a great start to the season, hitting .290 with six home runs and a vastly improved 19.0% walk rate. He hit leadoff in this contest and seems to be securing that spot against right-handed pitchers, which boosts his potential fantasy value significantly. He's a great waiver wire add if available, and he definitely can be a starter in standard-sized mixed leagues after his hot start to the season.

Cedric Mullins Homers In Tuesday’s Loss Against Cleveland
Cedric Mullins provided a spark last night, going 2-for-3 with a home run in Tuesday’s 6-3 loss to the Cleveland Guardians. Mullins blasted a solo shot in the seventh inning to put Baltimore on the scoreboard. He also singled in the fifth and drew a walk in Tuesday’s defeat. Mullins is now hitting .300 (15-for-50) with four home runs, 17 RBI, 10 runs, and three stolen bases on the season and continues to produce solid numbers from the bottom of Baltimore’s lineup. Mullins and the Orioles will look to bounce back Wednesday night in the middle game of a three-game set hosting the Guardians.

Cedric Mullins Goes Deep In Loss To Boston
Cedric Mullins was productive out of the leadoff spot on Thursday despite an 8-4 loss to the division-rival Boston Red Sox at Camden Yards, as he went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, two RBI, a walk, a stolen base and a strikeout. Mullins' third home run of the year came in the first inning to lead off the bottom half of the inning against right-hander Tanner Houck in which he just hooked it inside the right-field foul pole on a screaming liner on a changeup. It's been a fast start for the 30-year-old outfielder, as he now has eight hits in his first 26 at-bats with 11 RBI and two stolen bases in seven games played. While Thursday's series finale against Boston was his first time batting leadoff for Baltimore, it's unlikely he'll remain there regularly moving forward with All-Star shortstop Gunnar Henderson (intercostal) set to make his season debut on Friday in Kansas City.
