Carlos Carrasco Strikes Out Seven, Picks Up Win On Friday
6 months agoCleveland Guardians starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco struck out seven in six innings of work while allowing just one earned run in the Guardians 7-1 win over the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday. Carrasco improved his record to 3-6 on the season. The win was much needed for the 15-year vet as this was just his third quality start in 13 chances. The right-hander still has some work to do to get his numbers to a respectable level. His 5.13 xERA suggests he still has a long ways to go before he can become any type of reliable fantasy option. His next shot to keep turning around his season will be a real tough test on Wednesday as the Guardians will travel to Baltimore to face the Orioles at Camden Yards.
