Cardinals Looking to Get Nolan Gorman in the Lineup More
Nolan Gorman was the odd man out for most of May, but the Cardinals want to find ways to get his bat in the lineup more regularly, and it could come in June with the Cardinals playing 28 games in 29 days. He came into Tuesday's game hitting .187/.280/.297 with just one homer and nine RBI in 91 at-bats this year, but manager Oliver Marmol and hitting coach Brant Brown are encouraged that he has dropped his strikeout rate from 37.6% in 2024 to 27.1% this year. In Tuesday's 10-7 loss to the Royals, Gorman made the start at designated hitter and finished 2-for-4 with his second home run of the season, two RBI, a walk and two strikeouts in the eight-hole. The 25-year-old's numbers don't look pretty in 2025, but he might deserve a pickup in deeper leagues if he gets on a roll and plays regularly in June for the Red Birds.
