Columbus Blue Jackets forward Cam Atkinson broke the game's scoreless stalemate with a third-period goal against Toronto. It was Atkinson's first and only shot of the game, but it was all Columbus needed from him Sunday night. This game marked Atkinson's return to the lineup as he had been sidelined since early February with an ankle injury that limited him to only 44 games this season. Atkinson skated alongside Nick Foligno and Alex Wennberg at even strength and saw just over a minute of ice time on the power play. Atkinson also added an assist at the end of the game on Wennberg's empty-net goal. His performance in the series opener overshadows the seven-game scoreless streak Atkinson had coming into the game, but that was only the third time this season that Atkinson had gone more than a game without recording a point. Expect Atkinson to be a regular producer as this series goes on.--Russ Ivanac - RotoBaller
