Cade Cavalli Strikes Out 15 Batters At High-A
4 years agoWashington Nationals pitching prospect Cade Cavalli struck out 15 batters over seven no-hit innings on Saturday. The 22-year-old hurler has been dominant in 2021. He lowered his ERA to 1.77 and now has an eye-popping K-BB ratio of 71-12 in 40 2/3 innings of work. Cavalli was selected 22nd overall in the 2020 draft and has pitched better than any other college starter taken in the first round — although some are facing Double-A competition. This hurler is worth monitoring in dynasty leagues but he needs to be bumped up to face stiffer competition. He's also thrown a lot of innings, which is somewhat worrisome as the Nationals organization has had issues developing and keeping pitching prospects healthy.
