Bubba Chandler Shines In Triple-A Debut
4 months agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitching prospect Bubba Chandler dominated in his Triple-A debut on Friday evening as he tossed seven shutout innings. He allowed just two hits and one free pass while striking out six batters. In his final 40 innings at Double-A, the right-hander held a strong 2.25 ERA and stellar 0.65 WHIP with a 6:47 BB:K ratio. Overall, at Double-A, Chandler posted a 3.70 ERA and 1.01 WHIP through 80 innings of work. The top prospect in the Pittsburgh system has continued to take significant steps forward in his development all summer. This near-perfect Triple-A debut could open the door for a late-season major league debut. If he posts another strong outing with Triple-A Indianapolis, he could enter must-stash territory.
