Bryce Harper Leaves Game With Foot Injury
6 years agoIn an 11-4 Philadelphia Phillies victory Wednesday night over the St. Louis Cardinals where everything else went right for the Phillies, outfielder Bryce Harper (foot) was lifted from the game in the fifth inning after fouling a ball off his foot. Immediately after the foul ball, he was visited by the team trainer and manager Gabe Kapler. He then proceeded to return to bat and line out on the next pitch. After that, he was removed from the game. Harper went 3-for-4 on the night with a home run and three RBI. The Phillies were already up 10 runs when Harper hit the bench, so it was likely a precautionary move. Stay tuned to see whether he'll be in the lineup for Thursday's game where the Phillies look to complete the sweep of the Cardinals.
