Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper responded very well to batting leadoff for the first time since 2013. He went 1-for-3 with a walk, a home run and two runs scored. Manager Dave Martinez wanted to shake up the lineup and allow Harper to see more hittable pitches. He's said he's going to keep Harper there for the time being. Teams are pitching around him, but that should cease with Trea Turner hitting behind him. Harper has an OPS of 1.013 on the season and has actually been in a bit of a hitting slump. The homer was his first since April 16. If he gets more pitches to hit, watch out.--Mario Hernandez - RotoBaller
