Broncos Pick Up Options On Von Miller, Brandon McManus
5 years agoThe Denver Broncos picked up the 2020 options for outside linebacker Von Miller, kicker Brandon McManus and inside linebacker Todd Davis on Friday, as general manager John Elway previously said the team would do. Miller has made the Pro Bowl each of the last six years and is also a three-time first-team All-Pro, but he missed a game due to injury in 2019 and recorded single-digit sacks (eight) for the first time since 2013, when he played only nine games. Turning 31 later this month, Miller remains an integral part of Denver's defense and could bounce back in 2020 if he's fully healthy. McManus, 28, made 29 of his 34 field goals (85.3 percent), including four of seven from 50-plus yards in 2019. His big leg should play as at least a low-end kicking option next season. Davis had a career-high 134 tackles (78 solo), but he has two career sacks in six seasons in the NFL, limiting his IDP appeal.
