The Denver Broncos defense was being heralded as elite after they started 3-0 against teams at the bottom of the league in terms of talent. Through seven games, they rank 26th in defensive DVOA at 9.1 percent. They rank 26th in run defense and just allowed well over 100 yards rushing to a third-string running back in Week 7. The Denver D also ranks 24th in passing DVOA. So are they an elite unit? Far from it. Injuries haven't helped, as they are decimated at the linebacker position, are still without pass-rusher Bradley Chubb (ankle) and could be without star linebacker Von Miller (ankle) in Week 8 against the Washington Football Team. They could turn things around against a Washington team that has allowed six turnovers in their last three games, but the Broncos have only created one turnover during their four-game losing streak.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
