Brett Rypien Signing With Jets
1 year agoVeteran quarterback Brett Rypien is being signed to the New York Jets active roster off of the Seattle Seahawks practice squad on Tuesday. The 27-year-old played in two games this year for the Los Angeles Rams, completing 18 of his 38 passing attempts for 172 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. New York also released Tim Boyle, so Rypien might have the chance to start ahead of Trevor Siemian and Zach Wilson in the near future. Although none of the Jets' quarterbacks have fantasy value in single-QB leagues, the starter will be rostered in superflex and two-quarterback formats. With the Jets likely falling out of playoff contention, it's becoming less likely that Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) will play again this season.
