Brett Gardner Goes Yard Thursday
4 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner went 2-for-3 with a double and a home run in Thursday's loss to the Tampa Bay Rays. Gardner got the scoring started for the Yankees in the third inning, belting a solo shot off of Rays' lefty Ryan Yarbrough. He later doubled as he broke out of a recent 1-for-15 slide at the plate. Gardner is batting just .197 with a .559 OPS and is well past the days of being a valuable fantasy asset, though he still has some value to the Yankees.
