Brett Baty Hitting Fifth on Tuesday
Brett Baty is making the start at second base and is batting fifth in the lineup for Tuesday's contest against the visiting Chicago White Sox and right-hander Jonathan Cannon. Baty has been one of the team's most productive hitters in the month of May, leading to his highest lineup positioning of the year. The 25-year-old former 12th overall pick in 2019 has gone hitless in the last two games but is 14-for-50 (.280) with five home runs, a double, 13 RBI, six runs scored and a stolen base in 17 games in the month of May to raise his season slash line up to .240/.275/.471 with a .746 OPS in 104 at-bats. It's nothing to write home about, but the post-hype prospect could finally be finding his groove offensively at the big-league level. Baty is worth a waiver-wire pickup if he's available in deep-mixed leagues and is an attractive DFS play on Tuesday as well.
