Brendan Steele Continues To Struggle
6 years agoBrendan Steele finished last week's CIMB Classic in a tie for 54th place. The performance was yet another poor outing in what has been a months-long slump for Steele. The 35-year-old has now failed to log a top-45 finish in 12 straight PGA Tour starts. Steele is an excellent driver of the golf ball, but has been plagued by a horrible short game. He finished the 2018 season 183rd on the PGA Tour in strokes gained: putting. After struggling at both the Safeway Open, a tournament that he has won twice previously, and the CIMB Classic, it appears that Steele's problems will continue into the 2019 season. He will try to turn things around at the upcoming CJ Cup at Nine Bridges. It will be Steele's first career appearance in the event.
