Brandon Marsh Back In Thursday's Lineup
Brandon Marsh (finger) is back in the team's Grapefruit League lineup on Thursday against the Detroit Tigers and left-hander Joey Wentz. Marsh is manning center field and batting ninth in the order. The 25-year-old missed Wednesday's spring game due to a broken blood vessel in his left middle finger, but the injury obviously isn't very serious at all. He is looking to get things going at the plate before Opening Day, as he's gone just 8-for-37 (.216) with two doubles, one homer, five RBI, six runs scored and a stolen base in 14 Grapefruit League games for the Phils. Marsh still strikes out way too much and won't be an everyday player, but with speed in the strong side of a platoon in center field in Philly, he'll be useful in deep-mixed leagues.
