Brandon Lowe Activated And Starting Against Phillies
1 year agoThe Tampa Bay Rays reinstated second baseman Brandon Lowe (back) from the 10-day injured list on Tuesday, and he's starting at second base and batting sixth in the lineup for Tuesday's contest against Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Aaron Nola. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect too much from Lowe initially at the plate after he missed the past month with a herniated disc in his back. It's an issue that the 28-year-old left-handed slugger could be dealing with for the rest of the season. If five minor-league rehab games, he went 4-for-17 (.235) with one RBI and two doubles. Lowe does have nine home runs in 176 at-bats for the Rays this year, but he's hitting a lowly .205 (36-for-176) with three stolen bases in 50 games.
