Brandon Ingram Scores 16 Points In Win
6 years agoLos Angeles Lakers shooting guard Brandon Ingram had a pretty rough shooting night even though his club picked up a win against the Dallas Mavericks. He scored 16 points, but shot just 6-for-16 from the field. Ingram didn't do much else to make up for the poor shooting, with just three rebounds, one assist, and one steal. It's been a disappointing fantasy season for the third year player, as he hasn't done much besides score. He’s also shooting just 68.8 percent from the free-throw line and averaging 2.8 turnovers-per-game. All things considered, this puts Ingram around rank 150 for 9-category leagues this season. While he should improve over the course of the year, having LeBron James around could put a cap on his overall value. He won't have nearly as many opportunities to create as he did last season. Right now, he looks like a one-dimensional scorer, but he does have the potential for more. He is also taking a career-high 14.3 field goal attempts-per-game, so there are some encouraging signs for Ingram. He’ll have a chance to have a better game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday night.
