Brandon Crawford Should Return Sunday
1 year agoSan Francisco Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford (knee) received at-bats against a minor-league pitcher on Friday. He's feeling good and should return from the 10-day injured list to play on Sunday against the Boston Red Sox. Crawford's knee injury was never considered serious, leaving him in play to return from the injured list when eligible. The Giants called up infield prospect Marco Luciano with Crawford on the shelf, but it's possible that Luciano could shift over to second base when Crawford returns. In any instance, the 36-year-old Crawford hasn't really been much help to fantasy managers in NL-only leagues. He's currently hitting .207/.285/.333 with five home runs, 26 RBI, three steals and 22 runs scored in 198 at-bats this year.
