Brandon Crawford Back For The Giants
1 year agoSan Francisco Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford (hamstring) has returned to action on Friday to face the Pittsburgh Pirates and left-hander Rich Hill for the start of the second half of the season. Crawford is back at the 6 and is batting ninth in the order. The 36-year-old was held out of the first-half finale last Sunday with left-hamstring tightness, but he was able to heal up during this week's All-Star break. Crawford has little left to offer fantasy managers offensively at this point in his career, as he hit just .215/.293/.349 with five home runs, 25 RBI, three steals and 21 runs scored in 186 at-bats in the first half. In 49 at-bats against lefties, he went 11-for-49 (.225) with two of his five homers and 10 RBI.
