4 years agoThe Tampa Bay Rays could be receptive to trading players like starting pitcher Blake Snell and outfielder Kevin Kiermaier this offseason as they look to balance their budget after losing significant revenue in the COVID-19 shortened 2020 season. Tampa has already declined the 2021 options on starter Charlie Morton ($15 million) and catcher Mike Zunino ($4.5 million). Kiermaier will make $11.5 million in 2021 and $12 million in 2022, and Snell will receive $10.5 million next year, $12.5 million in 2022 and $16 million in 2023. Outfielder Hunter Renfroe, who is projected to make between $3.6 million and $4.3 million in arbitration, could be a non-tender candidate for the Rays.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
