Bills Looking To Add Power Running Back
2 years agoBuffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane said that the team will add another running back to the roster, and with James Cook and Nyheim Hines on the lighter side, the RB that they add is likely to be a heavier, power back. Devin Singletary is a free agent and isn't expected to return to the team, which will allow Cook to have a much larger role in Buffalo's backfield in his second NFL season. The second-round pick out of Georgia impressed in his rookie campaign in 2022, rushing for 507 yards and two touchdowns on 89 carries in 16 regular season games (zero starts), adding 21 catches for 180 yards and another TD. Hines will continue in a pass-catching role, while the heavier back they add will most likely handle short-yardage and potentially goal-line duties.
