Bengals Expected To Let Tyler Boyd Walk
10 months agoMany around the NFL think that the Cincinnati Bengals will let veteran slot wide receiver Tyler Boyd walk in free agency this offseason. In addition, running back Joe Mixon ($5.8 million salary cap savings) and defensive tackle BJ Hill ($7.5 million) are potential cap casualties, even though Mixon had 1,034 rushing yards and nine touchdowns in 2023. Boyd, 29, disappointed last year with 67 catches on 98 targets for 667 yards and only two touchdowns in 17 games (13 starts) despite Tee Higgins missing considerable time with injuries. It didn't help that quarterback Joe Burrow's (wrist) season was ended early due to injury as well. It makes sense for both Cincy and Boyd to end their relationship in 2024. Boyd won't be very attractive in fantasy entering his age-30 campaign, but joining a new team that will give him a bigger role on offense could make him somewhat of a sleeper.
