Ben Roethlisberger Has A Chance To Play Against Chargers
3 years agoIf Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is cleared from the Reserve/COVID-19 list before the team travels to Los Angeles to take on the Chargers and if he is physically fit enough to play, he will start in Week 11 on Sunday. Head coach Mike Tomlin said the game plan wouldn't change from Roethlisberger to backup Mason Rudolph. Big Ben missed the Week 10 tie with the Detroit Lions after testing positive for COVID-19 the day before the game. Pittsburgh's offense would obviously be in better hands with Roethlisberger under center, but he could still be missing wideout Chase Claypool (toe), and the Chargers defense is allowing only 206 passing yards per game, which ranks fourth-best in the NFL. If Roethlisberger returns for Week 11, he'll merely be a low-end QB2 in fantasy.
