The Chicago Bears signed inside linebacker Joe Thomas to an undisclosed deal on Tuesday. Thomas has been a core special teams player throughout his career and also has the ability to step in as a starter on defense when needed. The 30-year-old debuted in the NFL in 2015 with the Green Bay Packers and played three years for them before going to the Dallas Cowboys from 2018-20. Thomas appeared in seven games (two starts) for the Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans last season, recording 13 tackles (nine solo). He'll be trying to earn a spot on Chicago's active roster in training camp this summer. In 89 NFL games (16 starts), Thomas has 218 tackles (151 solo), 12 tackles for loss, eight QB hits, one interception, 10 passes defensed, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and 1.5 sacks.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
