The Chicago Bears are re-signing safety Deon Bush to an undisclosed one-year deal on Wednesday, according to his agent, Drew Rosenhaus. Bush re-signed with the Bears last offseason, too, and he lost out on the starting job opposite Eddie Jackson to Tashaun Gipson in training camp. He also suffered an injury early in the season, which caused him to lose more playing time with the emergence of DeAndre Houston-Carson. Gipson is also a free agent, so Bush and Jackson are currently the only safeties on the roster. Bush has been a reliable safety and special teams contributor, although he has just one interception in his five seasons with Chicago. The 27-year-old had only five tackles, one interception and two passes defensed in 11 games (zero starts) in 2020.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
