Baker Mayfield Plans To Play Sunday
3 years agoCleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield (knee, foot, shoulder) plans to play in Week 11 against the winless Detroit Lions despite being "probably the most beat up" he's ever been. He's dealing with a torn labrum and broken bone in his left shoulder, a sore left foot and a bruised right knee. Mayfield suffered the knee injury last weekend and was still limping on Wednesday when he missed practice. Head coach Kevin Stefanski said he's "confident" Mayfield will play against Detroit. The matchup is a nice one, but with Mayfield beat up in this run-first offense, he still won't be attractive as a QB2 play in superflex leagues. While battling through multiple injuries, don't expect Mayfield to be all that productive. He was 11-for-21 for a career-low 73 yards with a touchdown and interception in the Week 10 blowout loss to the New England Patriots.
