Baker Mayfield Must Prove Himself In 2020
5 years agoCleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield will be on the hot seat in 2020 after a disappointing sophomore campaign, especially after the team fired general manager John Dorsey and head coach Freddie Kitchens. Mayfield's completion percentage (59.4, down from 63.8 in his rookie season), TD-to-INT ratio (22:21, down from 27:14), yards per attempt (7.2, down from 7.7), passing yards per game (239.2, down from 266.1) and passer rating (78.8, down from 93.7) all declined from his rookie year. Cleveland's offense may not have fit Mayfield well and the offensive line was terrible, but he was expected to overcome those issues, especially with an improved supporting cast of Odell Beckham Jr. and Kareem Hunt. Mayfield still has the talent to be a QB1 in the NFL in fantasy, but he'll be drafted as merely a QB2 with upside in fall drafts.
