Austin Cindric Wins Second Duel Before Daytona 500
On Thursday night in Duel Race No. 2, the No. 2 Ford of Austin Cindric started from the front and finished there as well, as the Team Penske driver was declared the winner after a controversial finish and a review by NASCAR. As the field was coming to take the checkered flag, a huge wreck broke out on the front stretch, which caused NASCAR to throw the caution. Erik Jones beat Cindric back to the start/finish line and was initially declared the winner, but after reviewing the tape, the sanctioning body determined that Cindric was ahead of Jones at the time the caution flag flew, and thus the winner of the second Duel race.
