Aric Almirola's best days at Kansas are likely behind him. The Stewart-Haas Racing driver qualified 18th for Sunday's race and has not had a top 20 result in three seasons. The past four races have seen finishes of 21st, 26th, 26th, and 29th. Almirola has not had any top-ten stage results and that included a seventh place qualifying effort this past Spring. Some believe the Ford's not from Team Penske have a distinct disadvantage at Kansas and practice data seems to bear that out.
