Anthony Rendon Not Feeling Better
3 years agoLos Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon (hamstring) is unlikely to be back with the team until the end of July or the beginning of August. Skipper Joe Maddon said it's "nothing awful," but Rendon just isn't feeling better. Rendon isn't progressing like the team had hoped, and he'll still need to go on a minor league rehab assignment before returning to the Halos lineup. It's more bad news for the 31-year-old, who has been extremely disappointing in his second season for the Angels. Rendon is slashing just .240/.329/.382 with six home runs, 24 runs scored and 34 RBI in 249 plate appearances, but he needs to be stashed in all but the shallowest of fantasy leagues. Jack Mayfield and Luis Rengifo will likely continue to share time at the hot corner, but there's not much to see from a fantasy perspective between the two of them.
